Sydney based label One Teaspoon, started by Jamie Blakey knows only too well the hard work that goes into maintaining the hype produced from fashion shows.
Despite the effort that goes into impressing the fashion world when the latest collection is displayed, it is ultimately up to the consumers to judge the success of a brand.

Fortunately for One Teaspoon there is always a great response from the buyer who appreciate the “hand made” feel and beachy aesthetic. Originally Jamie began sewing in her bedroom; this has expanded into an international success after she began to make orders for interested clients which sold out almost immediately. Starting with only 10 pieces her success has flourished making her one of the leaders in Australian fashion. Her success is also world wide and incorporates a certain love of streetware for a young fashion conscious market.

One Teaspoon launches the new collection incorporating the charm and innocence of the 1920’s, and mixing it with a contemporary edge with a bit of high glam and punk. Not only is the label involved in clothing and apparel, its latest venture is a collaborative process with Le Specs, and their designer Hamish Tame to produce a funky range of original designs, reminiscent of South American culture the designs include bright dynamic colours and highlights. This much anticipated collection will be launched in David Jones.
